The Australian Embassy has revoked Kanye West’s visa over a song that praises Adolf Hitler, meaning he no longer holds a valid visa in the country.
Australia’s Home Affairs Minister, Tony Burke, revealed that his department had cancelled West’s valid visa after the song Heil Hitler was released in early May
Burke explained that the rapper’s visa was not meant for concert performances.
“It was a lower-level visa, and officials reviewed the law and determined that promoting that kind of Nazism is not something we want in Australia,” he told ABC, the public broadcaster.

When asked if it was feasible to exclude such a well-known figure, the minister responded, “What isn’t sustainable is bringing in hatred.”
He noted that immigration officials evaluate each visa application individually.
Burke also mentioned that while Australian citizens enjoy freedom of speech, “we already face enough issues in this country without intentionally bringing in bigotry.”
