The Nigerian Army has commended the Ondo State Government for its swift response to a recent security alert on a planned terrorist attack in parts of the state.
The Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 32 Artillery Brigade, Akure, Major Njoka Irabor, gave the commendation during an official visit to the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, in Akure.
Irabor lauded Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for promptly convening an emergency security meeting and placing all security agencies on alert, describing the move as a demonstration of his administration’s commitment to the safety of residents.
He also appreciated the state government’s continued support to security formations, noting that the recent donation of utility vehicles and operational equipment to security agencies had boosted their efficiency and response capacity.
“The synergy between the state government and security agencies has contributed immensely to the relative peace being enjoyed in Ondo State,” Irabor said. “The Nigerian Army will continue to collaborate with other agencies to ensure the state remains safe for residents and investors.”

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, commended the army for its efforts in maintaining peace and stability across the state.
He assured that the ministry would continue to work closely with security agencies through effective information dissemination and public enlightenment.
Ajanaku also urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities, noting that timely intelligence from the public was critical in preventing crime.
He reaffirmed the Aiyedatiwa administration’s commitment to sustaining peace and development, stressing that collaboration, vigilance, and communication were essential to ensuring a secure and prosperous Ondo State.
