The youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State has accused the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo of sidelining and undermining them in the scheme of things.
In a statement by the youth leader of Ward 10, Ugbowo, Omusi Omoregie, he alleged that the heads of the revenue task force set up by the state government in Egor Local Government are members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), despite the fact that the ruling party in the state is the APC.
Omoregie questioned why an APC-led government will entrust critical positions in the taskforce on revenue collection to the opposition, while deliberately sidelining APC youths, who worked tirelessly for the party’s success during the governorship election.
“Many of our committed and hardworking young party faithful are disgruntled, disappointed, and dissatisfied with this unjust status quo.

“We refuse to be mere spectators, while our rightful opportunities are handed over to members of the opposition. Our patience has been stretched to its limit, and the time to act is now.
“We call on our party leaders, stakeholders, and decision-makers to take immediate steps to correct this injustice. The youth of APC are ready to stand up and fight for what we duly deserve.
“We will no longer accept being undermined, sidelined, and taken for granted. This systematic underrating of APC youths in Egor must stop now! Let those in positions of authority do the needful, before this dissatisfaction escalates beyond control. We demand fairness, justice, and inclusion,” he said.
