The National Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in partnership with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Youth Development, has thrown its weight behind Senator Ned Munir Nwoko’s campaign for the creation of Anioma State.
During a solidarity visit to Senator Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, the APC youth delegation lauded his relentless advocacy for Anioma State, describing it as a transformative move toward equity, representation, and sustainable development.
The delegation praised Senator Nwoko for his unwavering commitment to uplifting the Anioma people and reshaping Delta State’s socio-political framework. They emphasized that creating Anioma State would ensure better governance and economic growth for the region, while also serving as a template for regional representation across Nigeria.
“Senator Nwoko’s leadership transcends political affiliations,” said one youth leader during the visit. “This initiative is rooted in justice and fairness for the Anioma people, and we are proud to stand behind his visionary agenda.”
The support from the APC youth marks a significant moment of bipartisan collaboration, with members of both the APC and Senator Nwoko’s own Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rallying behind the Anioma State cause. Observers note that this unity underscores the issue as a national priority rather than a partisan agenda.

Senator Nwoko expressed heartfelt gratitude to the APC youth delegation, noting that their endorsement strengthens the collective push for Anioma State. He reiterated that the call for state creation transcends political lines and is rooted in a quest for fairness, equity, and justice. “Anioma State is about ensuring every region in Nigeria receives its fair share of representation and resources,” the senator stated.
Highlighting the cultural and historical importance of Anioma, Senator Nwoko said the state’s creation would address decades of developmental imbalance. He assured supporters that he remains resolute in lobbying the federal government and other stakeholders to make Anioma State a reality.
The APC youth delegation also commended Senator Nwoko for his other impactful initiatives, including his continent-wide malaria eradication efforts, education and healthcare reforms, and economic development projects in Delta North.
As the campaign for Anioma State gathers momentum, analysts believe this bipartisan cooperation could set a benchmark for cross-party collaboration on other critical national issues, fostering unity and progress across Nigeria.
