The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its draft schedule for the 2025 nationwide congresses, outlining a comprehensive timeline running from November 2025 to March 2026 for the election of party officials at all levels.
According to the document released by the party, the congresses will commence with ward and local government area (LGA) activities beginning Monday, November 17, 2025, when notices will be sent to states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The schedule, prepared pursuant to Article 11-A sub-section (i-xiii) and Article 17(i) of the party’s constitution, details a structured approach to selecting party leadership across wards, local government areas, states, and the national level.
Key Dates and Activities
Ward and LGA congresses are scheduled for Monday, December 8 through Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with appeals from these congresses to be heard on Thursday, December 11 and Saturday, December 13, 2025, respectively.
State congresses will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, with appeals scheduled for Monday, December 22, 2025. The process will culminate in the National Convention scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2025.
Zonal congresses across the country’s six geopolitical zones will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, covering locations including Ibadan (South-West), Enugu (South-East), Rivers/Cross River (South-South), Kaduna (North-West), Gombe/Bauchi (North-East), and Nasarawa (North-Central).

Nomination Fees Structure
The party has outlined a detailed fee structure for various positions, with female aspirants and physically challenged aspirants eligible for a 50% discount on all prescribed fees.
At the ward level, aspiring chairmen will pay N50,000 for nomination forms, while the expression of interest for all ward positions is set at N10,000. Ward secretaries and treasurers will pay N30,000, with vice chairmen and other offices requiring N25,000.
For local government positions, the fees are substantially higher. LGA chairmanship aspirants will pay N500,000 for nomination forms, with an expression of interest fee of N50,000 for all LGA positions. Vice chairmen will pay N150,000, secretaries N350,000, and treasurers N250,000.
At the state level, chairmanship forms cost N3 million, with an expression of interest for all state positions set at N100,000. State vice chairmen, secretaries, and treasurers will pay N2.5 million, while other offices require N2 million.
The highest fees are reserved for national positions, with the national chairmanship nomination form priced at N20 million. Deputy national chairmen, national secretaries, and similar positions will pay N15 million, while other offices require N10 million. Expression of interest for all national party positions is N250,000, with NEC members paying N2 million.
Additional Provisions
The document specifies that forms will be available for purchase at local government, state, or national secretariat offices after confirmation of payments. All payments must be made directly into designated bank accounts of the APC, though the specific bank details are to be provided.
The party has also mandated that state senatorial executive congresses should be held concurrently with state congresses, and that LGA congresses must include the election of three members who shall be female to the National Convention.
