The All Progressive Congress (APC) Governors and members of the National working committee of the party have broker peace amongst the warring factions of the Delta State Chapter of the APC.
This was the outcome of a meeting chaired by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and other notable figures, including APC National Chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje, Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and several members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC), including National Publicity Secretary Barr. Felix Morka which took place at the Imo State Governors Lodges in Abuja.
Governor Uzodinma emphasized the need for unity within the party, urging leaders to present a cohesive front to prevent any perception of division that could be exploited. He clarified that the gathering was not intended for debate, and Delta State leaders were instructed not to counter one another’s remarks during the meeting.
Echoing Uzodinma’s position, National Chairman Ganduje highlighted the importance of internal cohesion, noting that seamless integration would encourage more PDP governors and leaders to defect to the APC. He added that discussions on power-sharing arrangements would follow the formal reception of Governor Oborevwori.

Francis Waive, Chief Great Ogboru, and other political heavyweights, with all invited members duly admitted into the session.
The meeting concluded with closing prayers led by Barr. Felix Morka, reaffirming the party’s commitment to unity and progressive governance in Delta State and across Nigeria.
Meanwhile Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has formally welcomed His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, alongside other leaders and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), into the APC.
According to Omo-Agege, the move, described as historic by party leaders, is seen as a testament to the growing success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at fostering national growth, development, and unity.
The Deputy President of the 9th Senate urged members of the APC to embrace this significant political realignment with unity, understanding, and a shared commitment to the progress of Delta State and Nigeria at large.
“In line with deliberations with the national leadership of our Party, the Progressive Governors Forum, and Delta APC stakeholders, I wish to assure everyone that any issues arising from this development are being managed with prudence and foresight,” Omo-Agege stated. He further urged all members of the party and supporters to turn out en masse for a welcome reception scheduled for Monday, April 28, 2025, in Asaba.
