Ambitions soared on Saturday, August 31st, 2024, as tech enthusiasts from across coding and non-coding tracks gathered at Merit House, Abuja, for the ALX August Assembly. Under the theme “My Future Self: Celebrating Our Ambitions,” the event attracted a dynamic mix of tech talents and seasoned professionals, all eager to chart their path to future success in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The event was particularly notable for the graduation ceremony of the Virtual Assistant Cohort 4, Artificial Intelligence Essential Course Cohort 5, Data Science Cohort 1 and Data Analytics Cohort 3 where graduates were lauded for their accomplishments and urged to write letters to their future selves, setting the stage for introspection and forward-thinking. According to the organisers, the letter will be sent back to the students in years to come to evaluate their progress.

ALXThe day’s highlight was the powerful keynote delivered by Hon. Remy Chukwunyere, a renowned public speaker, leadership coach, and entrepreneur. As the Executive Director of the African Youth Development Foundation (AFRYDEF) and the Imo State Directorate for Employment, Chukwunyere brought a wealth of experience to the table, emphasizing the pivotal role of personal development in achieving one’s future aspirations.
