“For me, I pledge to work with you even beyond your tenures because there is nothing I have asked you to do that you have not done. You have to finish very strong, you have to finish very well.
“Concerning the person that will replace me, I will consult you both individually and collectively so that we continue to work together.
“The internal road is a huge task before me, considering other commitments, but I have checked up and down, and I think, am at home with chairmen having done most before I need to anchor the execution of these projects.
“So, we will be ready to take off, may be one killometer at your desired location, based on what we have already agreed.
“So when the design is ready, we go and inspect it. I will pay my money into your account, and I will do the road, you will do the drainages. And thank God we exited from debt last year.
“I know you have projects at hand like fencing of police stations. No body is going to bother you about other commitments, so it is going to be your commitment and then these Internal roads. Where there be drainage, I will require you to take it up as projects, so that we will be able to complete the ongoing major projects, like, King David University, the airports, the stadium, the dualization that we are doing and then the two universities. These are very vital and key for us,” Umahi said.
