Alexander Isak is set to return to full training with Liverpool FC this week, offering a timely boost as the club approaches a decisive phase of the season.
Head coach Arne Slot confirmed that the striker will rejoin the squad on Thursday after spending more than three months sidelined with a serious leg injury that required ankle surgery.
Isak, who arrived at Anfield in a reported £125 million move from Newcastle United, has been out of action since December following a fracture sustained in a match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Before the injury, the 26-year-old forward made 16 appearances for Liverpool, scoring three goals as he adapted to life with the club.

Liverpool are preparing for a crucial FA Cup quarter-final encounter against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, with Isak’s progress expected to provide additional attacking options in the coming weeks.
The striker’s return is seen as a major boost to squad depth as Liverpool continue their push for silverware, with supporters keen to see the club’s record signing regain full fitness and form.
