The head coach of Al-Nassr, Jorge Jesus, has commended Cristiano Ronaldo for his outstanding performance in the club, calling him a “great example” following their impressive win against Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semi-finals.
Ronaldo, the Portuguese international, moved closer to winning his first trophy in Saudi Arabia by contributing to Al-Nassr’s 2-1 victory on Tuesday.
After the match, Jesus highlighted the significant role model that the former Manchester United star represents.
He stated, as reported by Ojogo: “Ronaldo is a fantastic example for football worldwide. At 40 years old, he continues to deliver outstanding athletic and physical performances.

“Moreover, we should remember that 80% of the fans in the stadium came to see Ronaldo. Al-Nassr is fortunate to have this global icon.”
Although Jesus has only been in charge of Al-Nassr for a few weeks, he continues to praise the former Real Madrid striker.
Few footballers have managed to play into their 40s, but Ronaldo is defying the odds.
He is destined to be remembered as one of the greatest players in the sport’s history, and he is eager to claim his first piece of silverware with Al-Nassr.
Ronaldo’s team will now await the outcome of the match between Al-Ahli and Al-Qadisiyah to determine who will face them in the Saudi Super Cup final on Saturday.
In the meantime, Jesus hopes his players can recover in preparation for that crucial match.
He added: “This game left us physically drained, the humidity was very high, and we played with ten men, but it was a wonderful victory that boosts the team’s confidence.
“Al-Ittihad only created one chance and didn’t pose much of a threat after that.”
