Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has announced the dismissal of all commissioners and special advisers, marking a new chapter for his administration.
This decision was revealed during a valedictory session held at the Government House, Uyo.
Gov. Eno explained that this change aims to introduce new faces and professionals who can better align with the state’s developmental goals.
During the valedictory session, he acknowledged the contributions of his outgoing team and highlighted their role in the success of his administration’s agenda.

Eno noted that “all of you have delivered… But we must come to the end of a season, start another season, and keep moving.”
Some of the cabinet members had been retained from the previous administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel as a gesture of appreciation, having served for nearly a decade.
However, the governor emphasized the need for transition to a new phase of governance.
