“As the National Assembly resumes tomorrow, 7th October 2025, let us all ensure our voices will be heard during the public hearings for the amendment of the constitution,” he urged the Nigerian masses.

He went further to attribute the gains being experienced in the stability of the naira to the result of “direct interventions by the Senate in policy shaping of this administration.”

Okolugbo outlined other major roles being played by the Senate towards putting the country on the right track.

“The tax bill, which was almost thrown out but has now been passed into law.

“The five development commissions, South East, South West, South South, North West, and North Central, all signed into law and have been established, ensuring development is brought nearer to the people.

“Minimum wage Act, where salaries were increased by 100% and ensuring that those earning minimum wage do not pay tax again.

“This is just a few out of the 52 bills passed by the 10th Senate, signed by the President. Over 90 bills have been passed, and another 200 are at different reading stages.

“In fact, what the 10th Senate has achieved can only be described as uncommon,” he disclosed.
