The air force has successfully eliminated over 25 terrorists during a nighttime operation in the Bula area of Yobe State and near Banki in Borno State.
This information was disclosed in a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame on Saturday in Abuja.
The airstrikes took place on September 18, following valuable intelligence provided by ground troops about the location of the terrorists.
Using a combination of surveillance and strike aircraft, the air force tracked the movements of the terrorists and pinpointed several of their groups north of Banki.
As the airstrikes unfolded, the ground forces received real-time updates to coordinate their actions effectively.

The strike aircraft executed three precise attacks on the terrorists as they moved and gathered in their locations, successfully taking out more than 25 fighters.
After the strikes, surveillance confirmed that the ground forces were in safe positions and there were no further threats visible.
Ejodame emphasized that this operation demonstrated the air force’s strong support for ground troops, the commitment to limiting the terrorists’ activities, and the ongoing dedication to securing the North-East.
