The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has launched a chief of the air staff special intervention project in the Adobu community of Delta State, aimed at improving civil-military relations.
The initiative also seeks to promote grassroots development within the region.
This information was contained in a statement on Friday in Abuja by the air force’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.
He noted that the project, led by retired Air Vice Marshal Ebimbowei Yinkere, received approval from the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, as part of a nationwide effort encouraging senior NAF officers to contribute to their communities.
The intervention involved the renovation and remodeling of the Adobu community town hall, along with a free medical outreach for local residents.
Ejodame explained that the improved town hall now serves as a better venue for community meetings, cultural events, and civic activities.
He added that it is expected to enhance local governance, foster social unity, and act as a hub for dialogue and decision-making.
“The medical outreach provided residents with access to essential healthcare services, facilitating early disease detection, addressing urgent medical needs, and alleviating the financial burden of healthcare on families,” he stated.

He encouraged community members to continue supporting security agencies by providing timely and reliable information, assuring them of the NAF’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property nationwide.
Yinkere, the project executor, expressed gratitude to the air chief for the chance to give back to his community.
He described the project as a testament to the lasting bond between the airforce and the Nigerian populace.
According to him, the initiative exemplifies effective collaboration among the military, government, and local communities, promoting unity, comfort, and civic participation.
