The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Fom Pam Joseph, as the new Force Secretary of the Nigeria Police Force. This strategic appointment follows the promotion of the former Force Secretary, Adetutu Rhoda Olofu, to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police.
The announcement was made in an official statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Thursday, February 27, 2025. According to the statement, AIG Fom Pam brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record in law enforcement, having previously served as the Assistant Inspector-General in charge of Finance and Administration at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
Pam has also played a crucial role in Nigeria’s policing structure as the Commissioner of Police responsible for homicide investigations at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja. His appointment aligns with IGP Egbetokun’s vision to enhance efficiency within the Nigeria Police Force by leveraging the expertise and leadership skills of senior officers to improve national security and policing effectiveness.
