As preparations for the 2023 general elections continue to gather steam, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for House of Representatives, in Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala federal constituency of Imo State, Engr. Albert Chibuzor Agulanna has appealed to all aggrieved aspirants in the last party primaries and their supporters to embrace peace in the interest of the party.

Agulanna made the call in a goodwill message he posted online on Thursday to welcome all PDP members and entire people of his constituency and the state to the month of December.

The candidate who hinted that he had won the lawsuit challenging his candidacy at the Court of Appeal stated that he would continue to seek the cooperation and support of all members and leaders of the PDP irrespective of any differences.

Engr. Agulanna assured that he will liaise and consult with the leaders of the party and his predecessors in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly promising that there will be no discrimination and disaffection in his service to the people of the area.

He appreciated God for his protection, safety and continuous victory in the face of various challenges and a successful end of the current year and a victorious new year.

His words, “Umunnem ndi Aboh Mbaise Ngor Okpala, I want to officially welcome you to the month of December, and to thank God for his sufficient grace that has kept and sustained us.

“I equally want to appreciate God for his hand of protection, safety, and “continuous victory” towards our sincere mandate of restoration and growth.

“We have secured yet another victory at the appellate court, in a suit that seeks to truncate the choice of our people and the wishes of our constituents.

“Whilst we relish this judgement of the appeal court, it is important that we continue to seek the cooperation and support of our brothers who went to court, and the love of those who differ.

“I extend my hands of fellowship and love to them with the assurances of continuous cooperation and mutual respect.

“We will consult and liaise with all, especially our predecessors, to enable us to gain richly in their knowledge and experience. There shall be no dichotomy or bad blood amongst brothers.

“To me, this is a victory for all, and even a greater victory for my brothers who towed the path of litigation. There is still time to come together in unity and love and work hand in hand to nudge our dear PDP into a deserving victory during the elections.

I must state without mincing words that I do not take the appeal court judgement personally, it is, and will remain a victory for Aboh Mbaise Ngor Okpala. I do not see the need for being overtly joyful for this judgement, rather I take pride in my willingness to extend an olive branch to my brothers and sisters to ensure peace, unity, and love amongst us.

“To my dear brothers and sisters, the month of December is the month of our saviour and redeemer Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that we see out the remaining days of this year and beyond in health and vitality.”
