Chelsea’s decision to sign Cole Palmer from Manchester City has sparked criticism.

The move, which saw the England U21 star leave City for Chelsea on deadline day, has left some unnamed agents baffled.

One agent who spoke with the media, expressed confusion, stating, “Chelsea didn’t need him, and he’s already proven himself at Man City.”

They questioned the rationale behind Chelsea’s move, suggesting it doesn’t align with Palmer’s development.

Another agent questioned the deal’s irony, given Chelsea’s history of selling academy graduates for substantial fees and now acquiring one of their rivals’ top academy talents for a significant amount.
