Crystal Palace has signed a Nigerian international, Ademola Ola-Adebomi on a professional basis after progressing through its youthful stages to its U18 team.
Ola-Adebomi was conscripted into the club ten years ago at the age of eight and has since developed into a promising center-forward, breaking into the ranks of the U18 in the 2020/21 season.
The developing prodigy under Rob Quinn’s team has scored 14 goals in 22 appearances as they occupy the third position on the league table, The Trumpet gathered.
After signing the contract, Ola-Adebomi conceded that this was his best season. He added that as a team they have moulded well to fight for the title this season.
He said, “This season has been my best season so far. I feel like I’m playing with confidence and I’m scoring goals, assisting goals, and playing well.

“As a team, we’ve moulded well, and I feel like we’re battling for the title, which is quite big. Hopefully, we can go on and win the title… The aim was to win it this year, which I feel is definitely possible,” he said.
The chairman of the club, Steve Parish in response to the event described it as historic.
He noted that Ola-Adebomi the club will provide all the necessary support to help develop the player who has spent ten years at the club.
He said: “Ademola has been with this club for a decade, which makes today’s announcement all the more special.
“I feel sure he will capitalise on this landmark moment and continue to work hard – we will make sure he has all the tools and support from every member of staff in our new Academy facility. Congratulations to him and his family, we are all very proud of him,” he added.
