The leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the South-South and former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, on Wednesday, charged Rivers State people and members of the ADC to get ready to frustrate election result writers in the 2027 general elections.
The former Rivers State governor spoke on arrival from Abuja at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, where his supporters and members of the ADC gathered to welcome him.
He said the purpose of his coming was to reassure Rivers’ people and his supporters that a new party is in town.
“My coming is to reassure Rivers people and my supporters that there is a new party in town.
“And every Rivers man who thinks that the person on the seat now is not doing well should register and ensure we remove the current government and stop the hunger,” he stated.
In an interview with newsmen, the former minister roared: “If you are not tired of Tinubu, I am tired of President Tinubu. If you are not hungry, I am hungry.”
He wondered how the average person in the society is surviving in the face of the hardship inflicted on Nigerians by the Tinubu administration

He said that “if the rich men are spending N4 million a month on electricity, only God knows how you are surviving. And the president says he doesn’t care.
“The president said he is not here to make you happy. ADC is here to make you happy.”
Amaechi noted that Rivers State is known for writing election results. He therefore charged the people to brace up and challenge such practice during the 2027 general elections.
Amaechi added that “Rivers State is notorious for writing (election) results. When they write results, they will claim they have won.
“I will not work with you if you will not match with those result merchants to announce results”.
He said the leadership of ADC had resolved to support any presidential aspirant of the party who clinches the presidential ticket in a free, fair, and transparent primary.
