The commitment was announced by the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, during a courtesy visit by the NCCSALW North-East Zonal Coordinator, Major General Abubakar Adamu (rtd), to the command headquarters in Yola.
Morris emphasized the command’s determination to work hand-in-hand with the centre in identifying, recovering, and eliminating illicit arms across the state.
He assured the delegation of the police’s full cooperation in supporting initiatives aimed at reducing the threat posed by illegal weapons.

Major General Abubakar Adamu (rtd) called for sustained collaboration between security agencies and stakeholders in the fight against illegal small arms proliferation in the state.
He highlighted the importance of removing illegal weapons from circulation through strategic collection and destruction exercises.
