The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of elder statesman Senator Muhammad Mana.
Born on October 7, 1950, Sen. Mana passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025.
He served as the military administrator of Plateau State from December 1993 to August 1996 during General Sani Abacha’s military regime.
In 2007, he was elected as the senator for Adamawa North, representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Senator Mana’s life was characterized by service, sacrifice, and a commitment to nation-building.
He had a distinguished military career, achieving the rank of colonel, and as military administrator of Plateau State, he was known for his discipline and patriotism.
He performed his legislative responsibilities with humility, dignity, and a steadfast dedication to justice, fairness, and development.

Governor Fintiri referred to Sen. Mana’s death as “a significant loss not only for Adamawa State but for the entire country.”
He extended his condolences to Sen. Mana’s family, the people of Adamawa North Senatorial District, and all Nigerians mourning this profound loss.
“I pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, grants him Jannatul Firdaus, and provides his family with the strength to cope with their loss,” the governor said.
