The Adamawa State Hospital Services Management Board has started conducting recruitment interviews for aspiring healthcare professionals, representing a significant advancement in its efforts to enhance the state’s healthcare workforce.
Candidates from all 21 local government areas in the state are taking part in the process, which is overseen by a panel.
The panel is led by the Executive Chairman of the board, Dr. Amzaranda Pugu, along with the board Secretary, Musa Babayi, Satlink Consultant, Mallam Sanusi Medugu, and other board members and directors.
During the opening session, Dr. Pugu encouraged applicants to uphold professionalism throughout the process.
He emphasized the necessity of discipline, transparency, and fairness in recruitment, assuring candidates that selections would be based solely on merit.

Dr. Pugu also reaffirmed Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s administration’s dedication to enhancing the healthcare system through significant investments in human capital development.
He highlighted that this recruitment initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to addressing workforce shortages in hospitals and improving healthcare services for the residents of Adamawa State.
The interview sessions, which began today, are set to continue until September 29, 2025, at the Main Conference Hall of the board’s headquarters in Yola, where candidates will be evaluated on their professional skills, technical knowledge, and ethical standards.
