Nollywood comedian and content creator, Bamidele Tope Saint, known as Okemesi, has reportedly slipped into a coma due to complications arising from medication received during a prior hospital stay.
This news was shared by fellow actor Jeff Owolewa, also known as Tony Montana, in an Instagram post on Monday night.
The situation comes just days after Okemesi moved into a new apartment, which was reportedly rented for him with the help of public donations.
He had previously sought financial assistance after suffering from an illness that left him without a home.
According to Owolewa, Okemesi was recently re-hospitalized after experiencing complications believed to be related to the medications he was given during his earlier treatment.
He mentioned that Okemesi was turned away by several hospitals before being readmitted to the same facility where he had received care and was discharged the previous week.

He stated that Okemesi is currently in a coma and called on Nigerians for prayers and financial support to assist with his treatment. Jeff said:
“Guys, Okemesi has been hospitalized again. He was sleeping all through Saturday and Sunday and had little appetite due to complications from the medication given to him when he was discharged last week.
“I rushed to his house early Monday to take him to the hospital. He was rejected by several hospitals, including a government facility in Igodo, where the doctor refused to treat him due to a lack of bed space.
“I had to take him back to the first private hospital that began his treatment. They admitted him and stabilized him.
“His breathing is improving, but he has been in a coma since Monday morning. They have him on oxygen. We are all praying for his recovery,” Owolewa.
