Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has publicly condemned the recent killings in Jos, expressing deep sorrow over the tragic incident while distancing himself from political affiliations.
The reaction comes shortly after the actor’s reported involvement with a pro-government advocacy group linked to President Bola Tinubu.
Taking to his Instagram page, Ninalowo described the violence in Jos as heartbreaking, stating that he could no longer remain silent in the face of ongoing suffering across the country.
The attack, which reportedly occurred on Palm Sunday in Angwa Rukuba, left several residents dead after suspected gunmen invaded the community.
“I choose to be a voice for the people, not for any government,” the actor said, adding that although he may have made statements in the past that appeared politically aligned, his priority remains humanity and justice.
He emphasised that his stance was not politically motivated but rooted in compassion for victims of violence, noting that Nigerians continue to suffer and deserve better protection.
