Human rights activist, Dan Bello has announced plans to organize a large-scale protest in support of Npower beneficiaries who have not received their stipends from the federal government for over nine months.
This decision comes after the government had repeatedly ignored the long-standing grievances of unemployed youths, despite numerous official complaints submitted through the appropriate ministries and agencies.
Currently in China, Bello stated that he will return to Nigeria to lead the nationwide peaceful demonstrations.

The Npower beneficiaries have already taken legal action, filing a case with the Industrial Court in Abuja, which was originally scheduled for hearing on December 9, 2025.
However, the court postponed the hearing due to official commitments that required the judges to travel to Kenya.
The industrial court later rescheduled the hearing for January 15, 2026.
In continuation of the struggle for their demands to be met, the Npower beneficiaries, plan a definitive protest for February 4, 2026.
This demonstration is expected to involve peaceful protests at government houses across the nation, with the protest in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), focusing on the National Assembly.
