Activist Aisha Yesufu has stated that the Senate should consider impeaching President Bola Tinubu over the unabated killings in Benue State.
Yesufu, known for her involvement in the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement, made her comments in response to the ongoing violence in Benue State.
The most recent incident occurred on Friday night in Yelewata, where suspected armed herdsmen launched a deadly attack around 10:00 pm, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.
The state police command later confirmed the assault, stating that suspected bandits invaded the community early Saturday morning.
They reported that tactical teams dispatched to the area quickly engaged the attackers in a fierce gunfight.

Many are feared dead following the assault by suspected herdsmen in Yelewata, Benue.
President Bola Tinubu has remained largely silent regarding the violence in Benue State, failing to visit or express condolences to the victims.
In contrast, he has been quick to respond to a recent plane crash in India that claimed over 200 lives.
Yesufu expressed her frustration, saying “Tinubu is sitting there reveling in the deaths of Nigerians whose mandate he undermined to assume the role of commander-in-chief, and instead of discussing his impeachment, the focus is on who should lead a political party” she posted on X.
“Tinubu offered condolences to India but not to Benue.”
