Akwa Ibom State chapter of Accord Party(AP) has declared itself solution provider to the challenges confronting the state and promised to produce the next governor of the state in the 2023 general election.
The refuted insinuations, claims and rumours making rounds in the state, that it is being sponsored by the PDP-led government in the state.
Addressing a press conference in Uyo on Wednesday, the state Chairman, Hon. Martins Inyang Ansa declared as false and malicious the rumour that the governorship aspirant of the Accord Party, Engr. Emem Coffie holds a substitutive candidate position.
“I would want to use this medium to inform the general public that, Accord Party in Akwa Ibom State is a product of self-sacrifice by committed members who have shown unflinching loyalty in their belief to produce the next Governor of our dear State come 2023.”
The state chairman of the party said he has never received a dime from the State Government nor an individual or group of individuals adding that the party is open to all Akwa Ibom people irrespective of their political platform and affiliations.
Ansa regretted that such malicious and despiteful intent was aimed at destroying the core values of his great party and the character of the governorship candidate, Engr. Emem Coffie, before right thinking members of the society.

“The leadership of this great party and the winner of the 28th of May, 2022 delegates Primary Elections Engr. Emem Coffie hereby debunks such “substitutive position” as false. All members of Accord Party, supporters and the general public should please take note,” he added.
While congratulating members who emerged winners during the recently concluded primaries, the party chairman commended members who have made sacrifices to keep the flag of the party flying.
He appreciated the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr Mike Igini for standing by the party to ensure that all who emerged winners at the primaries were listed by the umpire. He urged Akwa Ibom people to join Accord party in its ride to provide solutions to the challenges confronting the state.
“Because we are all we need and we are better together, join Accord Party today, as we are the solution providers to the challenges of our dear State,” he said.
