An auto accident on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway has resulted in the death of two people and left nine others injured.
This incident occurred at Tipper Garage when three vehicles were involved in a collision, according to the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE).
The South-West Area Commander of TRACE, Mr. Adekunle Ajibade, shared details about the accident with reporters.
He explained that the crash involved 14 people and took place around 7:40 pm on Monday. The vehicles involved included a DAF truck, a Mazda bus, and a tricycle.
Ajibade explained that the DAF truck was parked on a slope with its engine running, while the driver stepped out to deliver paperwork to security guards at a warehouse nearby.

Unfortunately, the truck rolled back onto the expressway after the handbrake was released, leading to the collision.
He added that as a result of the crash, two people lost their lives, while nine others were hospitalized with injuries.
Fortunately, three other people escaped without any harm. The bodies of the deceased were taken to Ifo General Hospital in Ogun State, where the injured are also receiving medical attention.
Ajibade mentioned that rescue operations were conducted by TRACE and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who worked to clear the vehicles from the road to help traffic flow more smoothly.
He urged drivers to slow down and follow traffic rules to prevent further accidents.
