AC Milan’s striker, Rafael Leao, exudes confidence ahead of their weekend clash with Inter Milan.
Despite Milan entering the derby as underdogs, given Inter’s three consecutive wins at the start of the season without conceding a goal, Leao emphasizes the strength of Milan’s talented players.
He believes it’s the perfect time to showcase his abilities in the Milan jersey. Leao expresses excitement about the upcoming match, noting the high spirits among his teammates.
He concludes with the sentiment, “May the best team emerge victorious.”
Meanwhile, Stefano Pioli and Milan have received a welcome relief as Olivier Giroud rejoined squad training shortly before the upcoming derby against Inter.

The 36-year-old French striker had to withdraw from the French national team due to an ankle injury sustained in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Ireland.
Giroud, a crucial asset for Pioli’s Milan, has already begun the season impressively with four goals and one assist in the first three matches.
According to Calciomercato.com, Giroud participated in today’s squad training at Milanello, indicating positive progress just days ahead of the Derby della Madonnina against Inter. It is now anticipated that he will start in the match against Nerazzurri on September 16.
In contrast, Pierre Kalulu did not train with the squad and will undergo medical tests to assess the muscle injury he encountered earlier this week.
