The Commissioner of Police in Abia State, CP Danladi Isa, has reaffirmed the command’s commitment to deepening collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to enhance security and combat crime across the state.

The police chief made the pledge on Wednesday during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the NIS Abia State Command, led by Comptroller of Immigration, CIS J.N. Owe, at the police headquarters in Umuahia.

CP Isa, who received the delegation alongside members of his management team, commended the Immigration Service for its efforts in border security and migration control. He described inter-agency synergy as essential to maintaining public safety, noting that it aligns with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.

“The Command places high priority on inter-agency collaboration. We are committed to sustaining peace and security through continued partnership with all security agencies,” the police commissioner said.

In his remarks, CIS Owe emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation between the Police and the Immigration Service, assuring that the NIS would continue to support joint operations aimed at curbing cross-border crimes and enhancing internal security in Abia State.
