Abia State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has inaugurated the newly reconstituted State Judicial Service Commission (JSC), which statutorily has the state Chief Judge as the Chairman.
Speaking at the government house in Umuahia, after the statutory Oaths of Office and Allegiance were administered on Justice Nwamoh by the State Solicitor General, Lady Uzoamaka Ikonne and inauguration of the members of the JSC, Governor Ikpeazu implored Justice Nwamoh to maintain a cordial relationship with the state three arms of government.
He also urged him to uphold the place of the judiciary in Nigeria’s democracy.

The governor assured that his government will continue to support the judiciary with all necessary tools that would make them succeed and expressed confidence that with his wealth of experience, Justice Nwamoh would add value to the Judiciary.
Ikpeazu stressed that members of the newly inaugurated JSC were carefully selected and asked them to bring their wealth of experience to bear on their duties and expressed confidence that they would not disappoint the people and government of Abia State.
Reacting, Justice Nwamoh expressed gladness with the honour and assured that he would abide by his oath of office and allegiance while discharging his duties.
He also said members of the JSC, whose reconstitution he described as timeous, would discharge their duties judiciously.
Meanwhile, the governor had sworn into office the acting President of Abia State Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Okey Iyke Nwamoh, as the substantive president on the court.
