Saint Augustine Catholic Church, Airport Road, Lugbe, Abuja, is set to host its 2025 Cultural Day Celebration and Fundraising for their ongoing church building project.
The Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. James Akpamoo, who disclosed this, said the Cultural Day with the theme: “Our culture, our heritage”, is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the church premises in Lugbe.
He said the event will commence with a Mass and Thanksgiving at 9.00 am.
Also speaking, Chairman of the Planning Committee, Sir Andrew Yahaya Adejo, said the cultural fiesta will be held under the chairmanship of Brig. Gen. Nwachukwu Nwanesi, the royal father of the day, would be Chavelier Umah, and the mother of the day would be Mrs. Olufisayo Darryl-Odiaka.
He said the event would showcase the colourful traditional attire and dishes of parishioners from different states across the country.

“It promises to be an exciting and historical event, with the first Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Thomas Edogbanya, officiating the Mass.
“The church building project is developing, the small worshipping community is trying their best to sustain the progress and to ultimately build a befitting place of worship for the Lord
“We are glad to inform you that the construction of the church building has advanced to the roofing level.
“Consequently, we specially invite all Catholics, Christians, and individuals who find pleasure in building for the Lord, because of the inherent divine benefits, to take advantage of this unique opportunity to be part of this investment in the house of the Lord, as we raise funds for the development of His church,” Sir Adejo stated.
