NCF sets to rebuild cricket senior men’s team, Invites 31 players to camp

The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has invited a total of 31 players to the  national senior men’s camp in Lagos for trials.
The NCF exploring the window opportunity aims to rebuild the national cricket senior men’s team by injecting new stream of players into the team while overhauling the entire team The Trumpet gathered.
According to the General Manager NCF, Emeka Igwilo, the federation opted to leverage on the window break to explore new discoveries to reshape the form of the senior men’s team.
He avowed that the cricket senior men’s team needed to be rebuilt having discovered that the team needs new crop of talents to replace other players who probably are unable to meet up to present challenges.

However, Igwilo asseverated that the NCF is committed to see that it assembles the best players in the camp to form a formidable national cricket senior men’s team ahead of future tournaments.
According to the federation, the numbers of players invited will be pruned subsequently till they arrive at selecting the best 14 players to finally form the national cricket senior men’s team.
Igwilo divulged that the players are expected to arrive on 3rd of April to the camp which will be declared open on the 4th of April and ends on 11 April, 2022.
