The Gombe State Police Command has announced the deployment of adequate personnel and resources across the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Maulud celebration and procession scheduled for tomorrow.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Buhari Abdullahi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police Bello Yahaya, the deployment includes conventional police officers, tactical teams, intelligence operatives, and operational equipment. The move is aimed at safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the festivities.
The Command has secured all identified gathering venues, procession routes, and other strategic areas across the state, reinforcing its commitment to public safety and security.
As part of the measures, the police reiterated the existing ban on the possession of dangerous weapons in public gatherings. Offenders will be arrested and prosecuted.

The Command also issued a warning that no form of thuggery, violence, or breach of peace will be tolerated during the celebration.
In addition, the public is reminded of the restriction on motorcycle movement between 7:00 p.m and 6;00a.m, a measure the Command says is intended to curb criminal activity and maintain public order during the festive period.
Procession organizers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders have been urged to take full responsibility for the conduct of their members and ensure compliance with all security guidelines. The police also called for cooperation with law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and order.
Commissioner Yahaya encouraged residents to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and to report any suspicious persons or activities to security agencies.
He extended warm wishes to the Muslim faithful on the occasion of the Maulud and reaffirmed the police’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the state.
