Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has inaugurated the boards of Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu, and the Abia State Transport Corporation, with Dr. Joe Emeson as chairman of ASCETA, and Mr. Emmanuel Ufomba as chairman of Abia Transport.
Speaking at the inauguration on Monday after the weekly State Executive Council meeting, Gov. Otti congratulated them on their appointments and thanked them for accepting to serve the state in different capacities.
Gov. Otti tasked them to be dedicated, saying that the job requires commitment, and expressed the hope that they would perform.
“I would like to thank you for accepting to serve your state. I want to thank you for making the sacrifice to be here this morning.
“I want to also remind you that the job requires full commitment. Of course, we went through a process before you were selected from amongst many other qualified people from the state.
“I do know that you consider this a privilege to serve our people. I do not doubt that all of you will give your best to the state,” Gov. Otti stated.

Responding, the Chairman, Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu, Dr. Joe Emerson, described education as a foundation for societal development.
While thanking Gov. Otti for the appointment, he assured that he would not disappoint the faith and confidence reposed in him.
Also speaking in an interview, the Chairman of Abia Transport Corporation, Mr. Emmanuel Ufomba, thanked the governor for the appointment and described him as a man who has a passion for the transport sector.
“I want to thank God for this opportunity. I also want to thank God on behalf of my members. I thank God for my governor, who has found us worthy to serve the Abia State.
“This is the area of my competence and by the grace of God, I’m going to put in my best to make sure I will make a bold mark in line with what the governor has promised to do in the Abia transport sector,” Mr. Ufomba stated.
The full list of those inaugurated includes Dr. Joe Emeson, Dr. Mrs. Idowu Eluwa, Mr. Emmanuel Ufomba, Godanswer Kalu, Mrs. Salomey Onwu, Kingsley Oriaku, and Onyebuchi Nna.
