Kogi at 34: Gov. Ododo promises ongoing change

The Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Ododo of has expressed his dedication to improving the state for the benefit of its people.

He disclosed this message on Wednesday in a statement while celebrating Kogi’s 34th anniversary since its creation.

In his message, Gov. Ododo congratulated the people of Kogi State, calling the anniversary a significant moment for reflection and renewed hope.

He highlighted the changes happening in the state, mentioning various projects, including new roads, better schools, improved hospitals, and initiatives aimed at developing rural areas.

“We may not be where we want to be yet, but we have definitely made progress from where we started,” he said.

Gov. Ododo also listened to the voices and desires of the citizens, mentioning different local areas and emphasizing his vision for a future Kogi where every child has access to quality education, healthcare is easily available, industries flourish, and agriculture brings prosperity to the community.

He reflected on the journey since Kogi was formed in 1991, acknowledging the challenges the state has faced and the successes it has achieved, which together shape its identity.

The governor urged the people to work alongside his administration to make their vision for the state a reality, reminding them that progress needs everyone’s involvement.

“Your votes gave me this chance to serve, but I want my actions and results to speak for me,” he stated.

He called on the citizens to recommit to unity, peace, and hard work as they enter another year of the state’s existence.

“Happy 34th anniversary to the ‘Confluence State’. The future looks promising, and together, we will move forward with hope and strength,” he concluded.
