The Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria Group has called for the suspension of the Minority Leader of House of Representatives, Rep. Kingsley Chinda, over what it described as a deliberate attempt to mislead Nigerians on critical party matters.

In a statement issued on Friday by its Delta State spokesperson, Moses Odibo, the group accused Rep. Chinda of spreading false information about the outcome of the PDP zoning committee meeting held in Lagos earlier in the week.

The group said Rep. Chinda wrongly suggested that the Lagos meeting involved members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and the National Assembly caucus, whereas it was strictly a gathering of the zoning committee.

“This type of misleading statement puts the PDP in a bad light at a time when we are working tirelessly to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 general elections,” the group warned.

Odibo stressed that the Lagos session was convened solely for zoning committee members from the South-East, South-South, and South-West zones, not for other party organs or caucuses.

He urged the South-South PDP leadership to suspend Rep. Chinda indefinitely, arguing that his conduct was unbecoming of a senior party figure at such a critical moment.

The group further urged the PDP caucus in the National Assembly to take disciplinary action before next week’s crucial National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, insisting that Rep. Chinda’s comments amounted to bringing the party into disrepute.

“As we plan to revive the PDP towards 2027, all elements working at cross purposes with the agenda to unite and rebuild the party should be shown the way out.

“All hands must be on deck to restore the party’s credibility and ensure victory in the coming elections,” Odibo added.

The Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria Group also appealed to stakeholders across the country to resist acts of sabotage and remain focused on the collective goal of strengthening the PDP as it prepares to challenge for power in 2027.
