President Bola Tinubu has stated that Nigeria’s involvement in the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) is focused on securing over $1 billion in trade and investment, promoting green innovation, enhancing industrial growth, and creating more opportunities for youth.
In a statement shared on his official social media accounts, Tinubu emphasized the anticipated advantages of Nigeria’s participation in the ongoing TICAD9, which is currently being held in Yokohama, Japan.
Having arrived in Tokyo earlier this week, Tinubu joined other world leaders and heads of government at the opening ceremony of the three-day conference at the Pacifico Yokohama International Conference Centre.
The summit, taking place from August 20 to 22, centers on Africa’s economic transformation, private investments, and innovation.
