Roma has submitted a proposal to acquire England winger Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, where he is currently not participating in first-team training.
Details regarding the amount of Roma’s bid have not been disclosed by United sources, nor has it been confirmed whether the bid has been accepted.
Nonetheless, the offer indicates that there is interest in the 25-year-old, who has been instructed to seek a new club before the transfer window closes on September 1.
Juventus, who have qualified for this season’s Champions League unlike Roma, are also reportedly interested in Sancho.
The former Borussia Dortmund player returned to United this summer after Chelsea paid a £5 million fee to avoid an obligation to purchase him, following a loan spell at Stamford Bridge last season.
There are also indications that Roma might be open to a loan deal, potentially with clauses that could be activated at the end of the season.

However, this situation is complicated by the fact that Sancho’s contract with United expires next summer.
The club has the option to extend it for another year, but given Sancho’s salary, it is uncertain if they would choose to do so.
United is eager to sell Sancho. However, as the September deadline approaches without a finalized deal, they may start considering a loan option, which would help reduce their wage expenses.
Four players, including Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrrell Malacia, have been training separately from manager Ruben Amorim’s squad since the beginning of pre-season last month, as the club anticipates their departure before the transfer window closes.
