The Rivers State Police Command has arrested four suspected members of an armed robbery and kidnapping syndicate.
A statement on Monday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, (PPRO)SP Grace Iringe Koko said on 8th August 2025, at about 11:30hrs, a team of operatives from Bori Division, while on routine patrol along Nkpee Street, Bori, acted swiftly upon receiving a distress call regarding the suspicious activities of unknown persons in the area.
The statement said the effort led to the arrest of four male suspects, namely Solomon Chris 26 years,Fabulous John 26 years, Wisdom Kalongo 30 years and Wisdom Samuel,Male, 33 years.

The statement further said items recovered from the suspects include one locally-made revolver pistol,one live ammunition, hard drugs,criminal charms and one ash-coloured Toyota Sienna vehicle with registration No. BNY-758FS
“The suspects are currently in custody, and investigation is ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang and recover more of their operational weapons.
“The Rivers State Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and calls on members of the public to continue to provide timely and useful information to the police”, the statement added.
