The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a major upgrade to its diaspora National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment portal, delivering faster, more secure, and more efficient services for Nigerians living abroad. The enhanced platform is designed to streamline the registration process, reduce delays, and ensure that Nigerians in the diaspora can seamlessly access critical identity services without unnecessary hurdles.
With the upgraded system now in place, all Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) have been directed to activate their licenses within 48 hours to continue providing enrolment services. This strict deadline, according to NIMC, is aimed at maintaining the highest standards of security and operational integrity on the platform.
NIMC is encouraging Nigerians abroad to take advantage of the improved service and contact the commission for assistance or enquiries via nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng.
While the upgrades focus on the diaspora platform, NIN enrolment within Nigeria remains fully operational. Citizens can still visit the nearest enrolment centre to register, underscoring NIMC’s commitment to providing universal access to national identity services for Nigerians, regardless of where they reside.
