The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South East zone, has appointed Hon. Moses Nweze as the new Youth leader for the zone.
In a statement issued on Thursday by Prince Ify Chijoke, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the National Vice Chairman, PDP South East Zone, said his elevation to this strategic youth leadership position is both timely and deserving.
According to the statement: “The Office of the National Vice Chairman, South East Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), wishes to formally announce the nomination and unanimous acceptance of Hon. Moses Nweze as the new Youth Leader of the PDP, South East Zone.
“This decision comes after wide-ranging consultations with critical stakeholders, ward executives, party faithfuls, and loyal members of the PDP from Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and across the five states of the South East region.
“Hon. Moses Nweze, popularly known as “Mbaco,” is a man of admirable character, commitment, and capacity.

“Prior to his new role, he has served diligently as a former Coordinator, Onicha Development Centre, and during the administration of Engr. David Umahi, former governor of Ebonyi state, served as his Technical Assistance, and he is the current Head of Internal Security for the “Anyi Ga Emeya” Movement. In the previous offices he has occupied, and the one he is currently, he has displayed rare dedication and leadership.
“As a vibrant and visionary young man, he embodies the energy, discipline, and intellect required to galvanize PDP youths across the zone and channel their strength toward the growth and success of our great party.
“Under his leadership, the voices of the youths in the South East PDP will not only be heard but meaningfully engaged. The party believes in his ability to lead from the front and deliver results that will further strengthen the PDP’s base among the youth population.
“The undisputed National Vice Chairman, Hon. Goodluck Chidiebere Egwu, assures Hon. Nweze of the full support of the zonal leadership and urges all PDP youth stakeholders across the South East to rally behind the new Youth Leader.
