Billionaire entrepreneur, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has officially declared his retirement from Dangote Cement and has appointed a successor.
Before stepping down from the cement division of his diverse business empire, Dangote served as the chairman of the company’s board.
According to the announcement as reported on Friday, Emmanuel Ikazoboh has been named as his successor.

In June 2025, Dangote had indicated his intention to leave the cement sector of his vast business operations.
He officially retired as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dangote Sugar Refinery PLC, as widely reported on June 12, 2025.
