Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has expressed sadness and disbelief at the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari passed away in a London clinic on Sunday, after recently falling ill.
His death was confirmed by his former Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, through a post on X.
In her reaction, Okonjo-Iweala stated that she was unaware of Buhari’s illness, learning about it only after the announcement of his death.
She wrote on X: “Unbelievable! I had no idea how seriously ill he was, and just minutes after sending my well wishes, I learned of his passing.
