In the FCT FA Super Six League Division One match played on Tuesday, Abuja’s Pride FC outperformed Ejike Ugboaja FC, winning 2-0 at the Area 3 football pitch in Abuja.
Alhassan Habib scored both goals for Pride FC, with an assist from Franklin Eze in the 36th minute to give them the lead.
As the second half began, both teams displayed determination, reinforcing their defenses.
Joseph Olasupo set up Habib, who scored again in the 67th minute, securing the victory and all three points for Pride FC.
After the match, Pride FC’s coach, Olatunji Yusuf, commended his team, acknowledging the challenge posed by their opponent.
“The Super Six features capable teams, and today’s opponent was strong,” he said.

“I thank God for our victory. My boys fought well. Our opponent put up a tough fight, but our game plan was effective today following our 1-3 loss to IB Sporting Dream FC in our first match on July 3.”
In another match, Maracana FC and Youthful Ballers FA ended their encounter in a 1-1 draw.
The FCT FA Super Six League Division One, which began on July 3, is set to conclude on July 12 in Abuja.
The league features six teams, namely, Maracana FC, Youthful Ballers FA, Ejike Ugboaja FC, Pride FC, IB Sporting Dream, and Golden Boys FC.
On Friday, IB Sporting Dream FC will face Ejike Ugboaja FC at 9 am, followed by Golden Boys taking on Maracana FC at 11 am in their final match.
