In reaction to Brig. Gen. Olawale Oyekotas visit to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Lagos capture center in Ojodu, to renew his driver’s license, Nigerians are lamenting that the renewal process is too cumbersome and sluggish.
Timmy AMballumi said that “I have submitted renewal since January 2025, license yet to be produced … Renewed ooo not even a fresh application.
“You all make use of technology to create complex problem instead of making simple solutions dey play.”
Another X user complained that “oga, what are you guys saying about my license? It is almost 2 years, and I have not gotten a renewal, and their officers kept harassing me on the highway. I sent you a dm since.”
BEonangi _ banner said: “Renewing his own because he is a big shot. But ignoring us that renewed almost 2 years now, without getting or even knowing our fate. Useless institution.”

Steven Abobunde @FRSCNigeria: “I have applied for 5 years driver license since January 2023. I was giving temporary card and up till now, they said my license since January is not ready.
“I dm your X handle early last month and someone responded that he will get back to me next day but till now I did not get any response.”
Another netizen, @Jeff Okute, complained that “I renewed my driver’s license in May 2024. At the end of the capture, I was issued a temporary one for a period of two months, at the end of which my license should have been out… Now, over a year… I am yet to receive the driver’s license till date FRSC no dey try.”
Wizzo.Wizzo said: “What is happening FRSC? Why are you making others afraid of renewing their license? I renewed my license since January. Till date, I still can’t get the original one. What is happening?”
