Chelsea has reached an agreement to pay over £50 million for forward Joao Pedro from Brighton.
The 23-year-old is set to sign a seven-year deal and may be available to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Joao Pedro is traveling from Brazil to the United States for a medical examination and could make his debut in the quarter-final match against Palmeiras on Friday in Philadelphia.

This transfer comes after Chelsea finalized a deal with Borussia Dortmund to acquire English winger Jamie Gittens for £55 million on Saturday.
This development came just hours before Chelsea defeated Benfica to advance to the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup.
