As Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori marks his 62nd birthday, tributes have poured in from key political figures, hailing his commitment to governance and calling for a renewed drive toward inclusive development. Among those who felicitated with the governor are former Deputy Governor Barr. (Deacon) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro and Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, the lawmaker representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

In a heartfelt message shared via social media, Otuaro praised Governor Oborevwori’s tenacity and leadership amid challenges. Writing on behalf of his family, political allies, and well-wishers, Otuaro acknowledged the sacrifices the governor has made in steering the state forward. He emphasized areas such as youth empowerment, peace-building, economic reforms, and infrastructure development as critical to Delta’s continued progress.

“Your path as a leader has not been easy, but your resolve to uplift Delta has been unwavering,” Otuaro noted, urging the governor to stay the course in delivering on the MORE Agenda. He added that with openness, inclusiveness, and visionary leadership, Delta could emerge as a model for sustainable growth in Nigeria.

Also extolling the governor’s virtues, Hon. Ukodhiko described Oborevwori as a shining example of altruistic leadership and transparent governance. In his birthday message, Ukodhiko commended the governor’s strides in education, healthcare, infrastructure, women and youth development, agriculture, and food security.

“Our amiable Governor has shown uncommon commitment to accountability, prudent management of state resources, and global collaboration in driving Delta’s monumental development,” Ukodhiko said.

He further described the governor as a “visionary and courageous leader with a grand dream,” applauding the implementation of the MORE Agenda as a critical engine in rekindling public hope and delivering democracy dividends across Delta State.

Both leaders offered prayers for Governor Oborevwori, wishing him good health, wisdom, and divine guidance as he continues to pilot the affairs of Delta State and contribute to the national agenda.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s 62nd birthday has thus become more than a personal celebration, it is being marked as a reaffirmation of trust in his leadership and a rallying call to push Delta further toward inclusive growth, accountability, and peace.
