Bruno Fernandes has surprised Al-Hilal by declining a significant £80million – £100million proposal from the Saudi Pro-League team Al-Hilal.
Over the last few days, Fernandes contemplated the opportunity, which would have significantly increased his pay at Manchester United, where he is among the top earners.
However, after speaking with his family about it, Fernandes has notified Al-Hilal that he will not be making the switch.
It is anticipated that he will face questions regarding this situation later on Tuesday, during a pre-match press briefing in Germany ahead of Portugal’s Nations League semi-final on Wednesday.

United is reportedly thrilled by this development, especially after their manager Ruben Amorim conveyed his confidence last Friday, that Fernandes would stay at Old Trafford.
There were no direct negotiations between United and Al-Hilal, leading to no formal offer that United could have rejected.
Nevertheless, it was believed that Al-Hilal was ready to propose between £80 million and £100 million to acquire the 30-year-old in preparation for this month’s Club World Cup.
It remains uncertain if they will now seek alternative targets.
Since joining the club for £47 million from Sporting in January 2020, Fernandes has participated in 290 matches and netted 98 goals.
