This year’s ceremony is particularly special because it aims to shine a light on the rich variety of storytelling found across Africa.

This year’s AMVCA features 28 award categories, with 18 chosen by a group of industry experts and 10 decided through public voting.
A new category this year is the Best Music Score, which highlights the important work of composers and sound designers who use music to enhance storytelling.
